PRESS RELEASE
Level99 Announces Featured Visual Artists Ahead of West Hartford Opening
The real-world social gaming venue will feature artwork from over 25 artists, including five Connecticut-based talent
WEST HARTFORD, CT – October 20, 2026 - Level99, the much-anticipated real-world social gaming venue coming to West Hartford, Connecticut, is showcasing its art affinity with the selection of over 25 visual artists from across the world, including five from Connecticut and ten from New England, whose works are featured throughout the new venue.
Art is a key element of creating a unique environment at each Level99 venue and providing a complete sensory adventure as Players take on a series of challenges via life-sized mini-games. On walls, through hallways, and even on the ceilings, guests will encounter giant murals, sculptures, animations and other larger-than-life visual pieces. The art transports Players into a vibrant, energetic setting.
Each location features original artwork installed by the artists themselves, with awe-inspiring moments and humorous surprises integrated throughout. The West Hartford location features 32 pieces of original artwork, bringing Level99's signature immersive art experience to Connecticut for the first time.
In addition to the art's visual appeal, it is part of the game itself via an interactive art scavenger hunt called "Hunt Art." Players can look for specific objects within the art, referred to as Glyphs, and then by identifying those objects at the Hunt Art kiosks, they can earn Stars to climb the Level99 leaderboard. All artists are thoughtfully selected to create an environment that brings energy and playfulness, with each artist contributing their own unique personality to the space.
Local artist highlights from the Level99 West Hartford lineup include:
WENT PAINT AKA Brian Wentworth (Colchester, CT) - Brian Wentworth is a muralist, painter, and illustrator based in Connecticut with 25 years of experience in the field. He’s always chasing that balance between structure and spontaneity. Art has always been his way of processing the world and now his main focus is creating work that feels honest and that people can connect with.
Kevin Bauccio AKA The Lock-Mine Kontrol (Griswald, CT) - A lifelong artist and accomplished pool player, he discovered his passion for both at a young age, winning his first pool tournament in fourth grade. His creativity has evolved from making stained-glass pieces in high school to creating portraits and murals for some of the top pool players in the country and around the world. Raised in a military family and having lived in Chicago, New York City, Connecticut and Rhode Island, his diverse experiences have shaped his artistic perspective. Art and pool continue to be powerful outlets for creativity, connection and self-expression, inspiring others while allowing him to continually grow and master his craft.
ARCY AKA Ryan Christianson (North Haven, CT) - ARCY is a contemporary muralist and live painter whose work transforms architecture into storytelling. Working at monumental scale, ARCY creates immersive public artworks that blend photorealism, motion, and layered symbolism. His murals are not simply images on walls, they are experiences designed to stop people in their tracks, spark emotional connection, and give a space cultural identity.
Micaela Levesque (East Hartford, CT) - Inspired by her Colombian roots, Micaela explores themes such as feminine power, history, music, nature and wildlife, and cultural narratives, translating lived experience into stories that are both personal and universal. Working primarily in Realism, Levesque creates immersive, large-scale murals reaching up to 3,000 square feet. Her practice is inherently adventurous, taking her into new environments and communities where she engages fully through body, mind, and spirit.
Michael Rice (Hartford, CT) - As a self-taught artist shaped by the restless energy of 80s and 90s counterculture, Michael approaches his work through observation, patience, and attention. For him, the process is a form of listening. The work develops as something drawn forward rather than imposed. He is driven by what he calls the “push-pull,” where presence and atmosphere meet and meaning reveals itself over time.
